About me

I was born in Sweden but now I live in Denmark, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Musicology and German and a Master's degree in Musicology from the University of Copenhagen. I studied Italian and translation at Lund University and at present I am halfway through a bachelor's degree in translation at the Stockholm University. I have worked for many years as a classical singer of opera and other classical repertoire, among others at the Malmö Opera and the Norwegian National Opera. As a classical singer you are in many ways a linguist, as you sing in many different languages and analyse the texts you sing. In connection with my work, I have also translated several operas in which I have sung, from Italian and German into Swedish and Danish. These include Puccini's opera Suor Angelica. Currently I am active as a concert and oratorio singer and from 2005 I teach singing and choral conducting at the Music School in Slagelse, Denmark. I also have experience from the public sector, among other things, healthcare.
